Two hits, two scorers: the thin Packers spot on 2026 Topps Flagship Football came through on both Thursday

Jordan Love threw three touchdown passes and Josh Jacobs scored twice as the Packers beat the Panthers 27-19. On Chrome Spot Lab's Hobby-only 2026 Topps Flagship Football paper rip, Green Bay has just two hits: a Jacobs vet auto and a Matthew Golden relic. Both scored.

Lead

Jordan Love threw three touchdown passes, Josh Jacobs scored twice, and the Packers sacked Bryce Young six times in a 27-19 win over the Panthers on Thursday Night Football at Lambeau Field (AP). Love finished 30 of 41 for 288 yards with three touchdowns and one interception, a 106.6 passer rating (Packers.com). His scoring throws went to Tucker Kraft (12 yards on third-and-8), Matthew Golden (24 yards into the left corner on third-and-13, one play after a drop) and Jacobs (a 4-yard catch). Jacobs added a 1-yard touchdown run, even on a night he managed 39 yards on 21 carries (AP).

Christian Watson supplied the drama: 8 catches for 113 yards, a trip to the hospital by ambulance with a chest injury after a 53-yard catch, and a return after halftime. He said he broke a rib. "I felt like I was watching 'WWE Smackdown vs. Raw' or something …" Watson said (AP).

Here's why it matters for a break. Claim the Packers in Flagship Football and you are rooting for exactly two pulls: a Jacobs signature or a Golden relic. Nothing else on the hit sheet. Thursday, both of those guys found the end zone. It is the mirror image of Monday's Bengals post, the other 2-hit spot, where none of the touchdown catchers had a hit row.

Why the Packers spot

On CSL's 2026 Topps Flagship Football Hobby break (tff26-hobby-12), you claim one of 32 NFL team spots and run a modeled paper rip. Green Bay carries 2 hits (1 auto + 1 relic), tied with the Bengals for the fewest on the board. The 32-team average is 6.875; the Jets and Steelers top it at 11 each.

That's the all-or-nothing feel of a thin spot. Love, who carried the offense, has no auto or relic row here; neither do Kraft or Watson. LaFleur's line on his quarterback fits the spot, too: "he's carrying the burden of everything right now, just dealing the ball and throwing a lot of great passes" (Packers.com). On the card side, the burden sits on two rows, and Thursday both rows scored.

Proof under the feel (Packers hit rows)

Card numbers come straight from CSL's normalized Flagship Football checklist (built from the Topps checklist):

Player · Green Bay Packers Hit rows in this rip Thursday (source)
Josh Jacobs vet auto #77 2 TD (4-yd catch, 1-yd run); 21 carries, 39 yds (AP)
Matthew Golden NFL Material relic NFLM-MG 24-yd TD catch (AP)
Jordan Love none (base #76 + Golden Mirror) 30/41, 288 yds, 3 TD, 1 INT (AP/Packers.com)
Tucker Kraft none (base #73 + Golden Mirror) 12-yd TD catch (AP)
Christian Watson none (base #75 + Golden Mirror) 8 catches, 113 yds; returned after hospital trip (AP)
Packers total 1 auto + 1 relic = 2 hits

The defense that closed it out lives on base and Golden Mirror too. Topps prints "Rookie" on Dani Dennis-Sutton #393, whose sack ended Carolina's last chance, and Chris McClellan #366, who helped stop Chuba Hubbard a yard short on fourth-and-two to open the third quarter (AP).

The Panthers counterweight. Carolina is the deep spot: 8 hits (5 vet autos, 2 relics, 1 Flagship First Signatures). Bryce Young has vet auto #29 plus the NFLM-BY relic; Ja'Tavion Sanders has vet auto #27 plus NFLM-JS; Chuba Hubbard (#28) and Xavier Legette (#26) have vet autos; and Topps prints "Rookie" on Chris Brazzell II's FFS-CBR. Hubbard ran 22 times for 81 yards and a touchdown and caught seven passes for 38 yards (AP). Jalen Coker, who caught Young's 26-yard touchdown on fourth-and-three, is base #210 only. Same Hobby break, more swings.

Context under the feel (receipted only)

Green Bay fumbled the opening kickoff and went three-and-out on its first series, then scored touchdowns on three of its next four possessions (AP). The Panthers trimmed a 27-10 deficit to 27-19 late, but the Packers' defense held. Love, after the game: "Late in the game, it wasn't good enough … That's something we've got to improve on, clean up as an offense and be better there." (AP)
