Ant joined Jordan and Wilt in Miami. On 2026-27 Flagship, the Wolves spot is his spot.

Anthony Edwards scored 45 as the Timberwolves beat the Heat 131–106. On the 2026-27 Topps Flagship Basketball checklist he's 11 of Minnesota's 26 hits, and Giannis Antetokounmpo's hits split 7 Heat, 2 Bucks.

Lead

If you're claiming a team for Anthony Edwards in a 2026-27 Topps Flagship Basketball team break, it's the Minnesota Timberwolves spot, and he takes up most of it. He scored 45 with nine threes as the Wolves beat the Heat 131–106 in Miami on Wednesday night. Per NBA.com, that made him the third player to score 40+ in multiple season openers, joining Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain. NBA.com called him "a flamethrower." His goal from deep, per the @NBA post NBA.com embedded: "Over 50%… that's all I'm trying to do." He finished at 52.9% from three, per that post.

Why the Wolves spot

Team spots follow the club printed on the card, and every one of Edwards's 30 rows on Topps's checklist prints Minnesota Timberwolves. Eleven of them are hits, and the Wolves spot has 26 hits in total. On a Wolves claim, an Ant pull is most of what you're chasing.

That makes it a concentrated spot, and a thin one. CSL's board averages 38.9 hits per team across 30 NBA spots, and the Mavericks lead with 74. The Wolves sit at 26. The second lane is Rudy Gobert with 6 hits, plus Isaiah Evans (#288, printed by Topps as "Rookie"), who has two hits: Golden Mirror Image Variation III #288 and a Flagship Real One Rookie Autograph #288.

Topps's own box copy names Edwards among the relic headliners: "Flagship Real One Relics, Own the Game, Roundball Remnants and more feature stars including ... Anthony Edwards."

Proof under the feel

Every row comes from Topps's official 2026-27 Flagship Basketball checklist PDF and matches CSL's live checklist data. A hit is an auto, a relic or a case hit (Golden Mirror I–III, All Kings, Quest for the Crown, Bounce), per the CSL board rule. These are counts only: no odds, no prices.

Card # Family Board column
AK-8 All Kings Case hit
#111 Golden Mirror Image Variation II Case hit
#243 Golden Mirror Image Variation III Case hit
TB-4 Bounce Case hit
QC-5 Quest for the Crown Case hit
81BA-AE 1981-82 Topps Autographs Auto
81CA-AE 1981-82 Topps Chrome Autographs Auto
#111 Flagship Real One Autographs Auto
#111 Flagship Real One Relics Relic
IR-AE Impact Relics Relic
OWN-AE Own the Game Relic

That's five case-hit cards across four families, three autos and three relics. His other 19 rows (base #111 and #243, plus variations and inserts like Poster Factory PF-14 and Stars of Destiny ST-17) show on the team page but don't count as hits.

Context under the feel (receipted only)

The Heat side. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 35 in his Heat debut, breaking LeBron James' record for points in a debut with Miami, per NBA.com. Topps's box copy promises "the first ... Giannis Antetokounmpo Heat cards," and most of his checklist delivers. He has 9 hits: 7 print Miami Heat (All Kings AK-1, Golden Mirror I #17, Bounce TB-3, Quest for the Crown QC-1, and all three autos: 81BA-GA, 81CA-GA and Real One Auto #17). Two print Milwaukee Bucks: Golden Mirror III #242 and Flagship Real One Relic #17. On CSL those two land in the Bucks spot, not the Heat spot. The Heat board shows 41 hits, with Giannis at 7 and Bam Adebayo at 6.

LaMelo. LaMelo Ball had 21 points, 6 assists and 5 threes in his Wolves debut, per NBA.com. On the checklist, 12 of his 13 rows print Charlotte Hornets, including all three of his hits. His only Minnesota row is a 1981-82 Topps Chrome insert, 81BKC-33, which isn't a hit. He doesn't add to the Wolves count.

Soft CSL bridge (once)

Chrome Spot Lab is a free one-player paper-break simulator. No real money, no prizes. On CSL, 2026-27 Topps Flagship Basketball is a checklist only, so the Wolves board above is a read of the printed list. Physical Flagship wax drops Nov 5, 2026 (Topps; subject to change), and it isn't the CSL sim. For yesterday's other Flagship spot story, see the LeBron, Brown and George swap.
